Sunday Photo Fiction – September 10th 2017
Image
Each week a photo is used, donated by one of the participants of Sunday Photo Fiction, and the idea is to write a story with the photo as a prompt in 200 words or less. Careful editing will keep your words within the confines of the 200 word limit. The photo doesn’t have to be centre stage, there have been times when I have had to read the story a few times to spot where the prompt is hidden. Please include a mention and / or link to whoever donated the photo.
The challenge makes you look at replacing two words with one, and a little jiggery pokery. A few words over is sometimes necessary when there is no way of shrinking it without losing an integral part of the story. Maine Bog
Taken in Leonard’s Mills, Maine. Sunny and a perfect 70 degree day. I had forgotten what a chilly night and cool day was like.
Evening In Milo Maine (Set 1)
Two photographs in the early evening. There was nothing planned about this, we were passing through and jumped out of the car.
Evening In Milo Maine – Click To Enlarge
We were coming from a wedding and had all of our gear in the back. All we did was grab ‘some stuff’ and run around by the river while we had a bit of light.
Rainbow Colors
Every time I log into my WordPress account the beautiful colors of the rainbow greet me. And it has a very interesting effect on me.
On one side I feel happy. Because, hey, you know, a rainbow is something really pretty and usually makes you feel happy. But then it also stands for homosexuality. And all the discussion that comes along with it. And that’s where the heavy feeling sets in.

Magnetic Poetry Saturday
eat the damn
cake…do it
dance naked
drink champagne
you are here
to celebrate
i listen to the
little voices in
my head
they know my
heart best
some say peace comes
before the storm
but watchers follow
its path and see
its wild nature
they never rest
whisper me lies
fill my head with
sweet nothings
i need peachy pink
drivel when
things wax ugly
