The Asylum Seeker

The young woman stood at the gates of the asylum, her heart pounding in her chest. She had been running for days, ever since the soldiers had come to her village and killed her family. She had no one left, nowhere to go. But she had heard stories about this asylum, a place where people like her could find safety.

She took a deep breath and knocked on the gate. A moment later, it opened, and a kindly old woman peered out.

“Can I help you, child?” the woman asked.

“I need asylum,” the young woman said. “I’m being hunted.”

The woman nodded and opened the gate wider. “Come in, child. You’re safe here.”

The young woman stepped through the gate and into the asylum grounds. She was immediately surrounded by other people, all of whom looked as lost and traumatized as she felt. But there was also a sense of peace and safety in the air. She knew that she had finally found a place where she could rest and heal.

The young woman was given a room and some clothes. She was also introduced to the other residents of the asylum, and they quickly became friends. They supported each other through their shared experiences, and they helped each other to heal.

One day, the young woman was sitting in the garden when she saw a group of soldiers walking towards the asylum. She panicked and ran back to her room. She hid under her bed, but she could hear the soldiers’ voices getting closer.

Suddenly, the door to her room opened, and the kindly old woman from the gate appeared. She took the young woman’s hand and led her out of the room.

“Don’t worry, child,” the woman said. “I won’t let them hurt you.”

The woman led the young woman to a secret passageway that led out of the asylum. They followed the passageway until they reached a small door. The woman opened the door, and the young woman found herself in a forest.

“You’re safe now,” the woman said. “Go and find a new life for yourself.”

The young woman thanked the woman and then ran into the forest. She didn’t know where she was going, but she knew that she was free. She had finally found asylum.tunesharemore_vert
